Hi everyone!
Iโ€™m really passionate about studying medicine however I am unsure if iโ€™m smart enough and capable of it. I have depression and anxiety which makes it difficult for me to have enough energy to study however I still study consistently but these conditions still affect my grades. Has anyone got any advice or personal experience? Is there anyone/anywhere I can ask these sort of questions to?

    Hey there!
I also want to pursue medicine! Nice to find someone who has similar goals as me.
Sometimes, I also doubt whether I am capable of becoming a doctor with the pressure of achieving a high ATAR.
But I've realized that passion and determination are just as important as grades.
So if you have a passion for sciences and want to study medicine, go for it! Do not doubt yourself.
We can get through this together! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mango well Iโ€™m a yr 8 student but anyone can do medicine u just have to study hard. I wanna pursue dentistry or biomedical engineering as a career which requires medicine and my grades for med are Aโ€™s and A+โ€™s but that is because I was focused and if yourโ€™e focused too and confident in ur abilityโ€™s then I donโ€™t see why your not smart for med and if I were you I would prefer studying at unsw over Monash but unsw needs a 99 atar.

      Hi there Kk,
I don't have anything too useful to input, however the best person to talk to about your university course preferences would probably be a career counsellor. If your school doesn't have one, then potentially a teacher that you have a strong relationship with?

Toy Planes Thank you! I definitely will try and talk to my careers counsellor and see there input. ๐Ÿ™‚

        Hey guys,
Does anyone know what the IB pathway is and how it differs from VCE?
Because I have an old friend that goes to WSC and she told me she is not doing VCE and instead doing the IB program.
I want to know the pros and cons of this program and which one is easier and more rewarding to do?
(I've heard that IB is tonnes harder than VCE but it scales more favourably?)
        Thank you <3
