Dr. Jess 😉 Speaking as a tutor, I wouldn't suggest finding a tutor before you've had a think about what exactly you want to get out of tutoring! If you didn't do very well at school this year, it might be more helpful to revise your gaps of knowledge and skill and strengthen those foundations before Term 1 starts. If you did ok and want to be prepared for 2025, I suggest getting your textbooks as soon as you can and go through them steadily by yourself to get familiar with the concepts and skills you're supposed to learn. All this you can do for free and will set you up nicely should you decide to do tutoring in 2025 🙂
FH ⭐️ I assume you have just finished high school, so I suggest spreading word with your families/friends/acquaintances that you're open for tutoring! Lots of tutoring companies will also do a hiring round this time of the year so I suggest reaching out to places and see what their application processes are like. I'll also mention that we are looking to add to our team of English tutors for 2025 so if you scored 40+ in any VCE English subject, please get in touch! We provide all initial and ongoing training with our tutors, so a lack of experience is not a problem for us 😉
