is there anyone that could give me advice, because currently im tossing up between putting schs or mhs 1st in my preferences. i live 7km away from schs, but 33km away from mhs, and thats why im ruminating on this. if i put mhs first and schs second, and my scores are great, then i should get into mhs. but if they're not good enough for mhs and enough to get me accepted into schs, i probably wont get in as i put mhs first. thats where im confused. since i live closer to schs, if i keep mhs as my first preference, and i dont get into mhs, would i still have a good chance at schs because of my location?

    mhsbandar go schs since its closer, u will save lots of time. But honestly, its up to personal choice.

    mhsbandar i was in ur exact situation, nossal was close to me and mhs was far but i rlly wanted to go mhs but the reason y i chose nossal was because all my friends did so too, so i alr had 10 friends before starting school. if i were u id do what u think is best and what ur parents think is best, however in yr 12 each minute is vital and spending 2-3 hrs on transport everyday could be a wast, personally if all ur friends r going schs id go there but its ur choice

      in english, do we have to analyse texts and write essays about it?

        a📀 a bit confused about the scope of the subject because there’s a separate subject in my school for analysing texts

        Can we start a sentence with 'And' in creative writing?

          :): I think you can, just don't do it too often - like once or twice in the proper place would be okay. For example, if you were describing something;

          Her emerald eyes have the tiniest hint of blue. She makes me feel as I'd get lost in them. And her nose, it's oh so petite. The way she scrunches it every time she thinks - she leaves me wondering what exactly is going on in that head of hers.

          Help it's so bad - I'm sorry I tried coming up with it on the spot 😭

            MauryanBroski True, i know a friend from my school who went to Melb High and overtime i might save multiple 100s of hours compared to him which is really useful in long run

            Dosanjh (NHS) ye it is but it could have been used on smth better like a swimming pool or anything.

            MauryanBroski thanks for the advice, my parents are fine with me going to either but im starting to lean more toward schs now because as you said, time in year 12 is crucial and spending hours daily on transport might not be optimal
