The_Cricket_Nerd okay so basically the test for year 10 entry is in edutest format so trust me when i say its wayyyy easier than acer. there is rc which has 50q 30min, nr which has 50q 30min, maths which has 60q 30min, and vr which has 60q 30min and the writing component where u have 5min planning time and 30min to write. this year the writing prompt was like a quote that said βthe kindness overwhelmed meβ and a few photographs to refer to. the tips id give is js practice for speed and consolidate ur basics for each subject. do tons of practice tests to improve strategy because at the end of the day that is what will give u an advantage compared to others. and dont be nervous. thats abt it for the exam component. for the application u apply separately. for each skl. for me when applying to schs i had to give a 500word written response explaining why i should be offered enrolment at the skl. and on top of that u need to provide ur latest reports which is mandatory. optionally u could provide teacher recs, any proof of achievement in extracurriculars and yeah js basically showing proof if u play sports outside of skl or if u have any leadership in ur current skl. and remember that ur extracurriculars are rlly important in yr 10 entry even if u do amazing in the exam, if ur application isnt as strong u wont get in directly. feel free to clarify anything if needed. best of luck!!
