was there a lot of worded problems(problem solving) questions for yr 10 entrance or ws it like straightforward questions for the maths and nums components

yoweo oh SCHS, aight hope u get in. What I meant by extra curriculars is like are u apart of any clubs, sports, community service, competitions etc. I asked this because in year 10 entry they are needed in your application.

Idk if mine is good cause i stopped my extra curriculars just recently. but i did netball, volunteering at a early learning/childcare centre, ive done swimming,dance,singing, piano, gymnastics and cricket thru out my life but idk if they want more recent stuff. in terms of academics, ive got lots of academic excellences too show, awards and etc. also if u did the yr 10 entry exam before. how would u reccomend to prep for writing. also was there a lot of circle geometry, surd rationalisation and poem comprehension?? i started preparing only 2 weeks ago which is bad but i only realised i wanted to do it 2 weeks ago.

nay334 I think there was surd rationalization and circle geometry. I don't think poem comprehension was on there tho. You extra curriculars look good but idk if any of them go into depth, like if u do state sport or made a huge impact in your volunteering etc. but dw u have time to lock in

.. thank you so much!! I am gonna have to work on my impression on them thru my personality then i guess ( if i get an interview). Im under the assumption that you got in thru yr 10 entry. what were ur extracurriculars that you showed during the interview and also ur scores from the test. (coz i think for nhs, you gotta be the best of the best and aim for at the very least 4 sups with 1 aa)Also one last thing is how did you improve in writing. coz i feel like with verbal, nr and math theres a pretty linear path to improving which is just practice practice practice. reading, not too much except exposure to diff texts and more practice. writing i reallyy struggle with, esp with trying not too make a too dramatic plot. and also with managing my remaining study time to balance creative and persuasive.

.. it would be super obvious i feel like if i suddenly start some clubs or anything like that right now. for my extracurriculars. at some point in my life i did drama too, did musicals, soirees and things like that. when i was very young i used to sing in aged care homes but as i said thats not a recent time of my life. im not sure if this counts, but my dad is a founder of a non profit organisation and i participated in lots of events to raise money.
