Heyy, in terms of tutoring I go to contour and it’s amazing, not just for vce , but like all of hs maths. I reckon it’s the best tutoring place, although it’s a bit pricey, but they have sooooi many extra free resources so it’s rly supportive. I’m doinv year 10 maths there and it’s actually so helpful like I was getting a’s when my friends were getting c’s and stuff in maths. I also hv a friends who’s in yr 12 and does chemistry there and she says their sciences r rly good.

right now my tutoring is this obscure asian run place, its not well known but the tutors are a bunch of 99.95s

My tutor is like QS, which is pretty good, but they don't have VCE or VCE prep classes. Should I go mainstream tutor or like Asian tutors that my mum will send me to?

Btw Heathdale is good but my English teacher literally has the biggest Chinese accent and has the teaching capabilities equivalent to reading off a twinkl lesson plan. Some of my friends went to MHS, but I'm just worried I won't integrate as well in yr10. Has anybody gone to a selective school in yr 10 how was ur experience.

It probably depends how you learn the best, like from my experience mainstream ones are usually more prepared and professional, but have a fixed curriculum like school .but the like Asian tutors my mum finds hv been more like specific to what I need help in the most but idk sometimes the teaching feels unprepared

Also, from the people currently going to MHS, I heard the teachers aren't the best at their profession and most of the time students just learn independently. Is this true and does it work well?

Hi, I'm new They yap about "adult learning environments" where they basically give you the work and you have to do figure it out. It sucks sometimes but it works other times, its an on and off thing.
