I couldn't help but notice there weren't any (suggested) solutions uploaded on the internet to both the 2022 NHT Exam 1 and Exam 2.

So, attached are my suggested solutions to both of the exam papers. It is likely that I have made some errors, so please tell me if you happen to notice any.

Hope this is somewhat useful to all year 12s about to commence practice exams 😄

I just had a brief glance through your exam 1 solutions, and all the solutions look right in general. There is a minor typo on Question 5b where -2 should be +2 I think. For Question 6bii, I think that it is important to explicitly state that x≥0 to justify the answer. For Question 7b, the domain should be noted x∈R\{1}. For Question 8b, the domain restriction should be considered as it was in Question 8a. For Question 8cii, the use of integral notation is a bit dodgy. Overall though, this is a great set of solutions that I know will be an important resource for exam preparation, so thanks @charl.

      The depth of water d metres in Port Phillip Bay is given by the rule d= 3+ 2cos pi t / 6 over a 24 hour period from 12am to 12am.
      d=3+ 2cos (\pi t)/(6)
      Sketch the graph of d 0<=t<=24
