Cheesecake7 don't worry, there's still the rest of the day and the last 2 rounds. I'm checking my inbox from time to time as well.
Hi all,
Just wanted to ask: What is the necessary prerequisite knowledge for Nossal’s intermediate Japanese class? Is there anything in particular they expect us to know?

Does anyone know when the next dates for the rounds are? If so when, and where can I find this information? Furthermore, does anyone know if all of Nossal's spots are taken, and if not, will we be notified if it is?
Thanks.
ILikeBooks Only the dates for the first 3 rounds were told. They just briefly mentioned that there were going to be 5 rounds.
people who got into mhs, is anyone doing airforce cadets?
Are all of nossals places taken?
rekt_AN Are you planning on doing it? If you do, you'll gain leadership skills, field skills, aviation skills and will be able to experience military life. I'd highly recommend it
somebody8442 yeah, i'm doing it
Okay, so my friend and I are somewhat confused. Despite having decent test scores, he was not accepted to Nossal. He believes that the selective entry school may have mistakenly issued a rejection email for one intended to be an acceptance. I doubt it because it is a really professional process, and I don't believe they would make such an error, but is it really possible for a selective school to send the incorrect email?

Hi, there is 4% cap at each school. If your friends school has exceeded this cap, he will miss out. I heard some students have 5 superiors still missed out due to the cap. Hope this helps. The bigger the school, the more students will get in. Some big schools like my friend, every year has 10-15 kids get in the selective schools.

The 4% cap is there for a reason. Say for example, Glen Waverley and Box Hill school, every year I heard they have hundreds of students sitting for the selective schools. Most of these students are quite smart. If there are no cap at these school, I am sure they will take out most of the places in selective school. But the problem with these school, I am sure there are many students will get 5 superiors in the exams. Say around 30-40 students got 5 superiors out of 150 students, only 20+ will get the offer for a place in the selective school. Its a harsh reality, I think the best way its to go for a big school and less competitive one.
