rekt_AN So have you heard anything from MHS regarding the PD application? (or have you withdrawn it as you do not need it anyway). I am still waiting about my PD at MHS. Didn't know that they give the second round offers to those being considered under PD.

hochanh i reckon PD applicants are the most likely for second round offers. Regarding my PD application, I guess it doesn't matter as I got a second round offer. Good luck though, hopefully you get called for an interview!

BaconTastesGood honestly, you would have received a first round offer for your first preference if you would have gotten Above average in the writing, but with an average, the mathematical chance is close to none, sadly. Unless you get very lucky and many people reject their offers, I’m afraid you will not receive an offer.

Actually, I heard that quite a few people got in even though they had an average for a test, so you definitely still have a chance. Especially since your other scores are quite good.
But the number of people allowed to get in at your school also contributes to whether or not you have a chance.

I definitely agree Glenny is really really competitive, but I know that some people did get in with 1 or 2 superiors this year so you never know.

I think that some people might start declining offers once they start doing the scholars program though - which happened in previous years - and there were quite a few people who got in following rounds 🙂

Cheesecake7 thanks! for persuasive, you probably know this, but the introduction is either a thesis statement, or where you list all your supporting arguments. I always chose to signpost arguments as it then lead to a cohesive piece. For narrative (and persuasive), having a large vocabulary is very important. Having knowledge of literary devices also helps.
