yr12student22 l just did stuff like emotional awareness, perceptual/cognitive distortions, content limitatinos, etc?
bluebettafish Yeah same, I think that was the answer to the question
what did you guys write for the laz and folk question?//
sasushi that one was hard ((( i just explained primary and secondary appraisal and said something like how psychological appraisal of a stressor can lead to biological effects and the headaches - what did you do?
yeah i bs'ed it a lot.
i defined primary appraisal (linked to Case Study)- but what I said was that one daily hassle does not cause an individual significant stress because its only a minor irritant. and due to this, they are likely to not conduct a secondary appraisal of the daily hassle (then explained secondary appraisal) therefore they are likely not to experience any stress due to the daily hassles being irrelevant.
then i said, however, daily hassles can accumulate into something more significant, and this may cause the individual to appraise it as ...., therefore if they don't have adequate coping resources they will feel significant stress causing them to feel more headaches.
please note that this response is me writing at home so its a lot more coherent than what i wrote in the exam. I had like 5 min left and i didn't even have time to double-check what I wrote, so I doubt that any of my response made sense.
sasushi sounds like a valid answer!
Anyone have suggested solutions? Please send if you do!
