Just thought this might be an interesting discussion on more of the study preparation side of things - so I'm thinking things like how you set up your study area.

Do you intentionally limit distractions? I remember there was this one specific place in the school library where I liked to study, because really the only potential distraction available to me was a stack of newspapers. I actually got into a routine of reading the newspaper in the morning to relax a bit, and then getting a bit of study done before school, without distractions of my phone/other people etc.

How about you?

I find it really hard to focus on my studies since the switch to using e-book all the time. Any tips?

Not_A_Teacher What are you using for the e-books? Like are you getting distracted by other stuff available on that same device?

Music. Like when new music comes out, Spotify's like 'hey look! an awesome band just released some really good music I think you'll like!'
And I do end up liking it. Then I wanna listen to the whole album. But I can't gotta studyyyyy.

      Atarnotes. Funnily enough XD

I just procrastinate my time and although many of the articles are fairly interesting, unfortunately my exam revision is much more of a priority

kinda random, but he username jinx have a meaning to it?
Also, for music, I suggest trying to only listen to music here there are no lyrics or lyrics in a different language so you don't know what they are saying and can't sing it easily. Just my experience really, cuz when I listen to songs in my language, I end up wasting an hour. But ever since I started listening to korean, japanese and other music, I have been able to focus more.

Music to an extent, usually when I study I'll listen to a bunch of video game OSTs while I study and I'll jam out occasionally. In general for me though, having to study at home where there's a bunch of distractions is not ideal, so studying in a library, café or literally elsewhere will make me concentrate much better-

Temperature. I can't focus when it's too hot, which is very inconvenient when you can barely afford air conditioning and are about to enter Aussie summer T_T

Linalg (I know, weird). When I was supposed to be smashing out organic reaction mechanisms and molecular orbital diagrams, I was procrastinating by reading linalg books. Didn't have enough space to do MTH1030 as I wanted to graduate this year and I had to take this useless communication unit to do so
