You can think for later, whether the subject you like can help you well in practice later on. Some students where I live often choose design or business.
However there will be more advice given you will be more confused, if you really love it try it.

DO BIO!!! I'm currnetly a year 10 student doing VCE bio, last year I just took the test (that determined whether I got to do early vce subjcet or not) honestly didn't care too much because I had my exams and other things going on. But let me tell you, I am so so thankful that I ended up doing it because I'd be so screwed in year 11 if I didnt take a VCE subject this year. It really gives you an insight into what VCE is, the work content and everything else. Im doing VCE BIO because biology also interests me but i want to be a doctor so my subjects are allocated towards that. But I reckon choose a subject based on what actually interestde you your more likely to do well, biology is neede dfor like almost every career anyway so if you dont knwo what you want to be bio is one of your best bests.

IN TERMS OF THE ACTUAL CONTENT AND WHAT BIOS LIKE:
I will admit there is a fair bit of content, and I can't recommend enough getting a tutor so that you can start learning the stuff before you do it in class, this way with your tutor your learning everything then you go to class and your teacher explaining it is like reivisiona nd allows you to fill in any gaps in your knwoledge and revise whta you've learnt. I highlysuggest toget an individual tutor, and i know thye can be expensive but not all of them are, just make sure you do your resrearch do free trials with differnet tutors till you find one that works for you. The one i go to is 25/hr which is cheap and shes really good, corrects worksheets outside of class time and other corrections i send to her outsdie of class. Most tutors only really check through your work or any corrcetiosn you might want during the actual class horus. because thats when their paid, but there are some who are willing to spend extra time helping you out. If you want me to refer you to her I can do that! What I did was december chilled then janurary i started learning the content with my tutor and doing praictiec questions so that by the time I got to school I knew everything that was happening in class and this made sure that I wasn't really confused and behind in class. Honestly, if i wanst doing tutoring I'd be getting 50s-60s but right now I'm getting high 80's whils the class avergae is in the 60's.

In terms of SACS and stuff do lots of prepartion ebfore hand so that when you go into the sac or test you know exactly what your doing. My first sac was quite length and the time did not feel like enough, nonetheless I did preprariotn a week before hand doing research on potiental questions and i got an 87% whilst the class average was 60s. Note that my grades right now being in the high 80s is an A. Lucky for you, I can send you/post all my resources notes, questions I've formualted based on notes, questions that i praciticed with for each of the SACs and tests as well as actual questions frm my schools SACs and test just to give you an idea of what's coming. Time managemnet is really important as well in both studying and in your tests/exams. I've got plengty of study thecniques that you can implement now in year 9 that will helps lots, the earlier you start with these good study habits the easier youll amke itfor yourself

In bio first youll do a basic overview of cells, then move onto the plasma membrane(cell memrbane) its stucture youll also learn about stem cells body systems plant systems, the concepts honestly arent too hard to grasp if you've got both your tutor and your teacher along with friends(really important that you do interact with your peers who are also doing bio this way you can exchnage resoucres itll help you out tons) As long as your praciticng with questions, know how to answer them and you UNDERSTAND THE CONTENT dont just memorise it youll do great!

Where do you find your tutor?

I can relate to this as well, biology is a fairly thorough subject offered in almost all schools in terms of it being doable without yr 10 bio.
