I don't think a person who applied for a selective school would fail the test.
Instead, showcase yourself confidently at the interview

also I heard there's a methods class, and I wanna do it in yr 10and there's a test or something, so does anyone know how to prepare for it? Also when does the test usually take place

Ancientrelic ahaha yess especially due to the fact that its nearly september, so if I do wanna do early methods, I have only 4 months to prepare

cshar True. I also am willing to be in a 10 methods class, and I should definitely try to learn basic concepts beforehand. I heard yr 10 is quite challenging, and it is considered different from general maths, not necessarily harder, (the actual interviewer told me this lmao).

PikaPika I think I showed a bit too confident lol. I talked a lot and the interviewer was kinda stopping me a lot and tryna lead me to what I really should have been talking. I get nightmares about this still.
