Hi.
Just for some clarification is there going to be a methods 1 and 2 for year 10?
Just wondering also, if you get into that class will you learn the concepts of methods 1 and 2, or will you we able to do the sac immediately in year 10?
Sorry for asking too much but Im kind of stuck whether to stay in my current school or go to JMSS
Because for some info, I am in an advanced class and next year we are doing general 3 and 4, methods 1 and 2 i think, we are definetly doing the general test next year but im currently not sure if we are preparing methods 1 and 2 for year 11, or if we are doing it next year. I will ask my teachers about this soon but this is all for now

      SpaceLover IM WORRIED ABOUT THAT TOO 😭 At my current school, I would be doing unit 1/2 bio and methods, but Im not too sure how many vce subjects you can do in year 10 at jmss?????

          yayyy001 you can do methods early (you have to do a test) and do vce chem or physics in semester 2 if you do well in their respective electives

            Just for clarification, you have to pass a test just to learn methods 1/2?
            If so, your saying that if we don't pass the test, we would just learn regular mathematics in the curriculum (which means we wouldn't be able to get a headstart on learning methods).
            I hope thats not the case...

                SpaceLover yep that is the case unfortunately, if you don't pass the test, then you'd have to do yr 10 core maths that prepares for methods for the next year

                    Oh wow, that's disappointing. Looks like my school is already better as we are already preparing for methods 1/2 next year as mentioned before. Well I guess JMSS makes up for it in science but meh.
                    Anyways, thanks for the clarification.

                        SpaceLover well for me I would've done VCE spesh (methods in yr 10 isn't allowed), VCE physics and advanced English so probably better, but I really wanna go to JMSS soo idek ( I accepted the offer)

                            does anyone know if PE is compulsory in year 10? i am unsure, and i would like to avoid it if possible 😭

                              cshar you are correct. My sister said she wanted to avoid languages as much as possible so she picked PE in year 10.
