Shiv yeah what MHS successful candidate said, also thats a past paper from the 2021 yr 9 entry edutest exam i believe, and while the yr 10 math exam shouldnt be too hard, they should definitely be harder than that
JMSS Entry Tips
Yo guys is the math test for JMSS worded problems heavy or is it more algebra based like DeRoza?
Shiv edutests are pretty basic, should be a mix of both, with possibly more algebra.
Shiv maybe expect more algebra since i dont think edu gives too many wroded problems, so probably expect more algebra than worded problems on the actual test
preferences have came out, and I put MHS first but I dont know if I should put any after and also if anyone else with knowledge on this, should I put nossal or suzzzane as they will take the same time from train for me, but apparently if u add only one school u get a better chance so im confused on what to do??
Nossal however SCHS is more competitive as more people apply for that but honestly if you want to go to a better school go to Nossal.
I haven't taken the test but so I won't say to much it's about you.
Other33 U should go to SCHS since it's closer
Dosanjh (NHS) It is much closer,I am planning to take both tests but I want to go to JMSS more since it focuses on Science and math which I am heavily interested in
Hey guys how should I prepare for the mathematics and numerical component, should i use a textbook or learn the topics myself i really dont know someone please help me
Other33 if you're willing to travel, jmss is infinitely better since you seem to have a passion for stem. in your position, jmss seems like the obvious option
Hey guys, what would an example of an CV look like, and is it important to have awards on your CV?
Is hendersons accurate to the JMSS NR test, or is it too easy?
Shiv most tuitions will have easier tests than the actual examination, but idk henderson's
Shiv it should be pretty accurate if you have yr 9 or 10 ones, the year 8 ones which im guessing u have will probably be too easy
If you want an accurate practice test, i've heard that ICAS Science papers for year 9 and year 10 are pretty close to the real thing. Can anyone confirm this?
Does anyone have practice tests?
hi guys, I'm doing the jmss test this year and was wondering whether you are given the method, materials and results when you write your prac report? my tutoring center is making us write the whole thing from scratch with only a prompt (we have to make up results) but my i've read some contradicting things. also what did u guys have on your cv, because i need to start making sure i have enough stuff, like did u guys have lots of science related stuff on there?
lols so im pretty sure they give you the results and from that you have to derive the method and materials but also they sometime dont give you the results and give you a prompt like "write a report outlining the patterns within the periodic table". another report type they can give you is they give you background information about something and then the prompt is like "write a submission to the Tasmanian government outlining your ideas to save the Tasmanian devil". They can also ask you to discuss similarities and differences and sooo many more things. SO its not necessary they will make you write a prac report because the test is actually "science communication" not necessarily a scientific report
