Hey everyone, I am trying JMSS this year and i really hope to get in. MY math and NR are fairly good, so i won't really mind that. But i am concerned about the 3 science tests. Can someone please explain what those 3 tests are in detail and how to prepare.
Thanks alot

asianasen its rlly not that hard to ignore him like i understand if he annoys u or wtvr but it not right to call him the stuff u did and u dont know whats happened to him so dont say that

ghost writing tests, one should be a science report thing where you are given some data, maybe even a paragraph of data then u have to write it in the correct format for science reports (design an experiment basically)
the second writing should give you a topic and asks how you could prevent this from happening/ decreasing the chances of occurring (along the lines of that)

the science test should be fairly easy, watch jayce batallone's jmss guide and he should have a checklist of the given topics you should study, if you have discord, i could also send 2 images of a james an college jmss topic list and what they include
all of the science stuff should be covered in year 8,9 and maybe some year 10 topics

din thanks, js having a hard time here, im js gonna delete the whole essay because i actually feel bad for what I've said tbh

matureagedstudent yeh ik, there are more popular people out there than him, but he's like one of the only content creators making stuff like jmss guides, so yeh

matureagedstudent last part is true, but the second last statement you said can be easily countered by wealth and / or if you are one of those girls

ghost I actually got into john Monash last year but rejected it because the school was too far away. The test is really nothing to stress about, you don't even need to go tutoring. I tried to join a private tutor, he said I won't get in because I could label the whole diagram of a neuron. But he was wrong because the test was fairly easy. Couple hours of practice each day for 6 months before the test should be perfect. For the math, just learn year 9 and 10 Mathematics and do practice questions constantly. For numerical, do a lot of maths puzzles and quick calculations. For science reasoning learn learn basic year 8 and 9 science because the test is basically common sense. For scienctic report, learn the structure of the report and ask your science teacher to help you learn about it cause that's what I did. For scientific essay, also ask your teacher about how to write one. Once you get a good grip about what the exam is about, start doing practice tests under timed conditions, if the exam is 30 mins, give yourself only 25. gradually make your practice tests harder and harder. For the essays constantly write essays under timed condiditons and ask your science teacher to grade them and give you feedback. All in all, the test is fairly easy and there's no need for any stress. Because the interview is what's most important, as its the hardest part of the entry.
