anusha Kinematics is the study of motion, without any reference to the forces that cause the motion. It basically means studying how things are moving, not why they're moving. It includes concepts such as distance or displacement, speed or velocity, and acceleration, and it looks at how those values vary over time.

There are four basic kinematics equations:
v = v 0 + a t.
Δ x = ( v + v 0 2 ) t.
Δ x = v 0 t + 1 2 a t 2.
v 2 = v o 2 + 2 a Δ x.

For example, if it is given that a car is travelling and it accelerates from its resting position with an acceleration of 6.5 m/s2 for a time span of 8 seconds, reaching a final velocity of 42 m/s, east and a displacement of 120 m, then the motion of this car is fully described. Now, if anyone of this information was not provided, we could have easily calculated it with the help of kinematics equations

ok ok sorry to everyone for the roasts
hope u all get in to your dream schools

ATAR I accept ur apology if I have offended u I would appreciate if u could accept mine

      :):

As stated in my previous post, I took a somewhat long break from Atarnotes. I did this to prioritise on studying for the selective school test, like many other individuals here. Atarnotes was a safe, non-abusive and appropriate environment for me. Personally, this was more than a website. Atarnotes enabled me to discuss with people around the country, that are striving towards achieving academic success. I started using Atarnotes to gain some valuable insight into what the selective school examination would be like. And I end here, with all these tips from such great people. Here are some very obliging and helpful people, that I am grateful to have stumbled upon, namely: @MMHS, @:):, @Miio and recently @Ronaldo for their extremely friendly, optimistic and especially kind nature. Note, that if I didn't explicitly name you on this list, you are still amazing. @MMHS I would really love to arrange some private way we could talk sometime, gmail perhaps? :): Yes, I hope this forum page remains free of any hostility. I am writing this, languidly, at 11 o'clock at night.. So, Good luck to everyone taking the selective school test, I hope this hard work will pay off.

Ronaldo As of now, I might appear every now and then.. but on the 15th June, I will definitely appear to wish everyone the best of luck. Ronaldo Thank you for that btw. Good luck to you

          Ronaldo
Thank god, this gave me a heart attack, I was like there is a new topic i need to study and only like less than 2 days left. Btw only 2 DAYSSS
i mean like i remember we all were just talking 2 weeks remaining or 12 days now its ONLY 2 !!!
PotatoSinghThe3rd It was a good time talking to u tooo, I hope we all get innnnn
Best of luck, everyoneeee!!! We will smash it!!

          I don't understand this question:-
Two parallel train tracks connect the two towns Hallam and Melton. A train left Hallam station headed toward Melton at the same time a train departed from Melton destined for Hallam. After the two trains crossed, the train from Hallam took 8 hours to reach Melton, whilst the train from Melton took 18 hours to reach Hallam. The train travelling from Hallam was travelling at a constant speed of 48km/hr. The train that departed from Melton travelled at a constant speed.
Q:- For how many hours had the trains been travelling when they crossed somewhere between Hallam and Melton?
          a. 12 hours
          b. 15 hours
          c. 8 hours
          d. 9 hours
          e. 13 hours

Q:- What was the speed travelled by the train that departed from Melton?
          a. 42km/hr
          b. 24km/hr
          c. 28km/hr
          d. 36km/hr
          e. 32km/hr
