  • Is it normal to get bad grades in the beginning of year11

Is it normal to either just be passing or just failing in the beginning like receiving a 48 or anywhere between 55%?

Yeah I think it's normal, transition from year 10 to year 11 was pretty big for me too and I performed significantly worse at the start of year 11 than what I did throughout year 10. Even had to drop a subject during year 11!

Kind of depends on what kinds of subjects you're doing, and how much experience you have with them. When I started Year 11 Drama, I had only been doing it for 2 years. I wasn't used to VCE, and all the requirements/structure, so I slipped a bit. You should be fine soon though, you'll get back into your groove

ayeh654 i agree with all the above; you just need to figure out the ins and outs of your subjects. my first practice test for year 11 business management last year scored me a 70%, and once i figured out structure, i finished on an A+ for unit 1 and unit 2. just give it time, because if you know you can do well, you will eventually get to your standard.
