TryingforSCHS Your writing is really good however make sure not to use you or we because you'll get marks off. persuasive should always be formal meaning no slangs, contractions (don't must be do not, coudn't must be could not) and it has to be third person too. for creative you can do first person.

So this is my first essay ever so dont judge. Any feedback would be great
In recent years, there has been significant growth towards choosing remote work, with more companies offering flexible working choices and employees nowadays often opting for an online workspace. There are many benefits to this new trend, including productivity, work environment, and overall job satisfaction. Some points are contradicting, such as communication among team members, and work-life balance.
One of the most crucial benefits of remote work is productivity. Employees can be more focused and productive at home than in a place with a lot of hustle; offices. Home can provide a peaceful environment for people, reducing distractions. Thus helping individuals feel satisfied with themselves and their jobs. This makes a positive impact on one’s well-being and productivity.
However, some might oppose this, by stating the following argument. Communication with team members would be a bit inconvenient, as you can’t just ask for assistance in an instant. Except when in an office, conversing with coworkers would be considerably simpler because of your proximity to one another and lack of need to double-check schedules. This leads us to the conclusion that commuting would be simple if you were in a workspace near your teammates.
Another downside to this new transition is work-life balance. People may find it difficult to differentiate between the two. These days, many struggle to keep up with their schedules to allow for personal time and finish all assigned tasks on time. Recently, people's attention spans have drastically decreased as a result of short-form video content being included in social media apps like Instagram and TikTok. This causes the person to procrastinate, which increases stress because they now have to finish more tasks in less time. Therefore implying that the individual would put in more hours at work and have less time for personal activities.
On a final note, there are benefits to working remotely as well as drawbacks. Individual preferences vary, though, as some people may find it challenging to do tasks independently and might require assistance from team members, while others may find it easier to maintain a work-life balance. Since this is a relatively new trend, I believe there could be ways to support communication and work-life balance.
I didn't know how to end the last paragraph so I definitely need feedback on that
heeduo4life Oh and this was timed. I took 25 mins to write that
heeduo4life its quite short with your arguments and rebuttal also for the amount it took to write in it isnt the best bc for a persuasive piece in the sehs exam(if u r doing it) takes 20 mins. overall solid 6-7 out of 10 work on ur grammar, structure and length of the piece.

heeduo4life that is a 9/10 if it is a discussion piece. However, if it is persuasive, it should be focused on one viewpoint. Since i think a persuasive prompt is more common, my advice is for a persuasive essay.
For the last paragraph, try formatting it like this:
1-contention- your viewpoint on the topic
2-summary of arguments- try not to make it too mechanic, use more.. flow-y(?) words
3-interesting ending- maybe a final suggestion, or something funny
EXAMPLE
Conclusively, working remotely is the obvious answer, no matter your situation. It will ensure a more peaceful and calm working environment, a much more positive work-life balance and it will also benefit the environment. Anyways, would you really prefer to wake up early to go to work or sleep in and work in your pyjamas?
DISCLAIMER: this isn't the best advice in the world, but it is what I would do, and I consider writing as my best skill for the SEHS exam
ANOTHER NOTE: the reason i gave it a 9 was because of your use of grammar and punctuations to make the text cohesive, in addition to the extensive vocab u used
heeduo4life for the last paragraph make it link back to all ur arguments and clearly state ur contention
heeduo4life so, you have two rebutted arguments??? Doesnt make sense because now ur whole viewpoint is just gone out of the window
Tas i was trying to see from each perspective so i guess you can say it's a discussion piece. idk i'm kinda confused myself cause it's my first essay
YOUR FIRST ESSAY???? WHAT? The test is this Saturday and you haven't ever done an essay. If this is the case then you have really really left this too late. Not to sound too pessimistic but there is not really much to do bc if you dedicate all your time to just writing then your other subject with fall behind so idk
MMHS i thought it was persuasive and narrative and I'm fairly good at those so i didn;t know it was an essay until saturday
heeduo4life there is loads of things to work on, things that can't be accomplished in the matter of 3 days which is why u never leave anything to the last minute. Last week should be mainly for revising, not learning anything new.
