ππππππβ¦ yeh. It's easy. 30mins for all components of the test (NR, RC, MATH, VR) and 30mins with 5 min planning for writing(either narrative or persuasive not both). VR and math have 60 questions while RC and NR have 50 questions. The hardest tests were prob RC or VR.
Selective School Year 10 Entry
.. omg thankyou so much, also do u remeber what was on the test or js what u studied to prepare
ππππππβ¦ Sorry but I don't remember much from the test, and all I really did to study was some spare practice test my friend gave me, and did some(if not all) math topics from an ICEM year 9 book. I got some vocab from a book called "1100 words you should know" and read more complex literature to help me with RC. The only question I remember from the test was "what is the length?, where the width is 17cm and the area is 153cm2" from the math section.
yeah i have the icem book for year 9 and 10 alr as ill be doing elms at my skl next year and anyways i think my parents are getting me practice tests but other than that tysm
Next year I'm planning to sit the macrob and suzanne cory test in yr 9 (run by edutest) for yr 10 entry. Does anyone know if the test will be sure to open or only if students are leaving?
Also, if suzanne cory test and macrob test both run by edutest, I think the content will be different but does the style be the same? Like the same level of difficulty and patterns/knowledge?
I also sat the selective test in 2024 this year (run by ACER) and did not get in. And I went to JAC, which I didn't find helpful at all since JAC was more like edutest but the actual exam was like ACER. Do u guys think I should go to JAC again since they are now edutest. Please help me!!!!
Btw, to ppl who did the test this yr (2024), how was the format and did anyone sit for both test Suzanne and Macrob?
Thank you so muchh
Wait now I am a bit confused isn't the year 9 test we sat acer
Or are we talking abt the year 10 test

RB- NossalStudent Y9 2025 yeah for yr 9 entry but she is talking about year 10 entry being edutest.
Yeah quantitative this time was reduced to 45, and a lot more twisted questions than the usual straightforward tests from EDU
In any way, does applying for more than one selective school, decrease ur chance of getting in when compared to, if u had applied for only one? But i was also told that in yr 10 entry each school has its own individual tests.
