Writing tests

Hi,
I'm sitting the JMSS and selective test next yr (for yr 10 entry) and I really need help with the writing components of both tests. I'm currently in yr 8, if anyone has any suggestions and tips on how to improve in writing - pls help. I'm desperate so anything helps. thx

hey! don't know if this is helpful but smth that I used to do was like make a box with paper slips inside - on each of the paper slips I have like a theme, prompt or idea to write about. Its like a lucky dip; you pick one, set a timer for however long you want and write a story/essay in that time

i_need_mental_asylum works great for year 10 entry selective. For JMSS tho that strat is actually impossible. Cus they give you like two pages to read for BOTH writing tests.

Melona ⭐ There isn't a prompt per say. Just like 3-5 objectives/questions they want you to answer in your writing piece. They give you two pages of information so it helps you answer those questions.
