I'm sitting the JMSS and selective test next yr (for yr 10 entry) and I really need help with the writing components of both tests. I'm currently in yr 8, if anyone has any suggestions and tips on how to improve in writing - pls help. I'm desperate so anything helps. thx

hey! don't know if this is helpful but smth that I used to do was like make a box with paper slips inside - on each of the paper slips I have like a theme, prompt or idea to write about. Its like a lucky dip; you pick one, set a timer for however long you want and write a story/essay in that time

i_need_mental_asylum works great for year 10 entry selective. For JMSS tho that strat is actually impossible. Cus they give you like two pages to read for BOTH writing tests.
the prompt is 2 pages long??
