Victoria sehs test 2026
doing melbourne grammar scholarship test tmr (as selective prep) i have no intent on getting in but its just practice under pressure as the aas format is similar to acer.
Chakraboi Actually that is a very good idea and very smart of u because you will understand how exams work and learn the pressure, god why didn't I think of that before.
chxin u js said 80 in total, if it is 80 each that's crazy, like 44000 dollars

Chakraboi could u tell us how the format is after u take the test
MHS successful candidate yhhhh alg.
Ight i js came back from the MGS Scholarship Test and this is how it went.
First test was problem solving and reasoning which was 45 minutes for 72 questions. I feel like I cooked, finishing with 15 mins to spare. Definitely the easiest part of the test.
Second test was reading and we had 40 mins for 56 questions. First two passages (around 15 questions) were cloze passage questions, so they were easy marks. Test was relatively easy asw
Then we had a 20 min break I think
Third test was maths and we had 50 minutes for 55 questions. Pretty easy, couple confusing questions but still managed to finish 5 minutes before time was up.
Final one was writing we had 25 mins to write a creative piece about a rainy park. We had to start off with these sentences (something along the lines of this) . "As the rain fell, the park transformed into a whole new place. People opened up their umbrellas and began doing their own things"
Thats pretty much it, I personally felt like it was really easy and there was about 150 -200 ppl so yeah.
Chakraboi Nice!!! do u remeber exact types of qquestions

asianasen yeah, his intention wasn't of getting in i think, he mentioned it being practice for the sehs exam
MHS successful candidate yeh, even so, if he does, it would be pretty cool, i know one guy at melb grammar that is in yr 10 rn (i js want chakra to say hi to him for me)
asianasen oh yeah ok
time management is insanely important btw, i recommend doing prac test while timing yourself, everytime you do a test in time, shorten the time for the next test you are going to do.
ensure maximum accuracy before efficiency also, cuz this allows you to complete complicated questions in a shorter timeframe while others are still taking their time; higher chance for you to get in also
asianasen yeah, i spend a lot of time for tough questions for some reason cuz like i really want to solve them yet dotn keep track of time when doing them
MHS successful candidate also, for the wrong questions (what i do), write them in a book and try to solve them then take the test again but with a shorter time length since you should be able to do some of the questions already, so from a 30 min i go to 25 or even sometimes 20 mins if i feel extremely confident
asianasen Nice method!
