  • Hi everyone,
I was thinking of doing biomedical science in university and hopefully get into postgraduate medicine if I don't end up getting into undergraduate medicine. I noticed that the degree has many majors and minors some including physiology, anatomy etc. I was wondering how majors and minors work both relating to the actual course and how much it contributes to your GPA as well as if it is beneficial if I choose majors/minors relating to medicine?

    Thanks!

  • Hi all,
I have put biomedical science as 4 & 5 preferences for unis and hopefully get into medicine via the postgraduate route if I don't get into undergraduate medicine. Although I have done some research into biomed, I'm still not 100% sure what exactly biomedicine entails and future career options are (if I end up not doing medicine/don't get into postgraduate medicine). Is it more biology, chem or physics based? How much course work is involved? Or if I should just opt to do another undergraduate degree in general?

    Thanks.

  • Hi everyone!
So, I'm aware there is a provisional entry pathway/undergraduate pathway into medicine and that there is a postgraduate pathway as well but recently I saw a few videos on YouTube about people not getting the ATAR/UCAT score they needed to get into undergrad med so they started doing a bachelor and then after their first year transferring to undergrad med.

Does anyone know how this works and what the criteria is?
