      Train i wouldnt say its a competitive school, just a small one, only 52 students in my grade. Like those two boys are the only ones smarter than me.

              i know i have asked this many times but is there any other possible way to get in besides PD? like i am really desperate

                katie No not really... The only thing that bypasses the 4% rule is the equality thingy (I forgot what it's called)

                    It's like when you sign up to do the test, you have to say if your parents have a health care card or pension card or you're an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. You can't file for it now though.

                            quasi There's 5 rounds this year, and the third round would be on Wednesday, October 19th. Not sure about the last two though.

                              katie From my understanding, PD applications usually have to get invited to apply through similar means to the actual invitations (via email in the following rounds). The PD category is much more flexible in terms of who is invited to apply, though, and much more is taken into account than academic performance/ performance on the entrance exam.

                              While your scores were very high, the capacity at your school was only 2 people - which was likely what led to you not receiving an offer due to the 4% rule. My understanding is that the PD category doesn’t have to correspond with the 4% rule.

                                  I think that the 4% rule doesn’t apply to the PD category, seeing as their main target group are people who missed out because of that constraint (I.e people who missed out by 5 marks or less). That might be what is meant by ‘infinite PDs’

                                  Though, I’m not sure about how this affects public or private schools differently as this wasn’t mentioned in the information book at all - we were all dealing with the same resources.

                                  Ommahp This could definitely vary due to outside factors between schools, though, such as academic interest or distance from the actual school. I think it’s hard to give an exact estimate for any offers handed out in subsequent rounds.
