All good! Your reply adds useful info as well.

Usually for images on ATAR Notes I've uploaded it to somewhere like imgur and then grabbed the bbcode link. Generally for grabbing a link if you want the picture to display you need the link to go to the picture only & the link to go in the square brackets. That's my experience anyway.

Hey guys on the 2021 vcaa MCQ question 14, im confused on why its C. Usually the duration of STM is 15-20 seconds and then 30 seconds if maintenance rehearsal is used.

      Hii
I had this same question with my teacher, and we went through it together,

So according to the jacaranda textbook, it says that the "duration of STM is from 18-20 seconds, sometimes up to 30 seconds" and "longer if renewed using Maintainance rehearsal"
Lots of different textbooks say different durations but the main one that vcaa accepts is roughly 15-30
seconds (as seen in the multiple-choice) so we're kinda just gonna have to go with whatever they say :/

its a bit confusing trying to keep up with exactly what the examiners want...

if anyone wants to add anything else feel free to do so,

hi guys imlosing motivation to study because im so nervous idk what to do
does anyone have points on breathing retraiining and self efficacy i dont have any and they were skimmed over ?

Housestark22 Basically breathing retraining the process of identifying unhealthy breathing habits and replacing them with correct ones, (its kind of like CBT but breathing version) . Self efficacy is belief in the ability to perform behaviour needed to reach a goal and is a psychological risk factor. Someone that has poor self efficacy is usually doubting themselves and always perceives that they would receive the worst outcome. For example on a past paper there was a scenario of a women having trouble at work and she thought that it would never resolve, hence she has poor self efficacy.

Also you are not alone, literally don't know what to do today as well but my teacher recommended to go over notes and mistakes on past trials

Housestark22 I don't really have a format but I recommend just planning for 5-10 mins and using paragraphs. Make sure to always link to the scenario or research and throw in definitions to show your assessor you have a good understanding of the content

Housestark22 i was also taught IDEAS
            I- identify concepts
            D- define
            E-explain
            A- apply and analyze
Basically pretend you're writing for your parents to read this- they are smart but have no idea what psych terms mean. For example, don't just say, glutamate has an excitatory effect- say what excitatory means
