did the EI critical thinking test today, which i would like to point out is an online exam for the sake of my story…
the exam was supposed to start at 10am but at around 9:50, the power at my school cut out. no electricity means no wifi, which means at one point, the exam looked like it wasn’t about to go ahead. THANKFULLY (because i was worrying so much) the exam supervisor was able to get the school to fix up my room first because they’re the portable classrooms they can be fixed individually, and i started like 3 minutes late but it was so. stressful.

think i flopped but its ok because it’s a whopping 10% to the study score, so i doubt it’d matter….

FH bro i have never even had the chance to reply to any of your posts but now is the time to express that this actually is such a good idea and its made me wanna do a yr 12 journal thingy as well!

Definitely do. I wish I did one for Year 12, but I'm doing one for uni now
It's a good way to express your feelings, emotions, fears, etc. And you can get plenty of advice from other students, and others who have finished Year 12.
And once you finish, you'll be able to read back on it, and appreciate how far you came

i might do one next year but just for those that want to get in a sehs to see what a day in the life is like without making those yt vids iyk yk

MMHS it is something i never thought about doing, but since i’m not really a vlogger i thought this would be a great thing to reflect on. glad you’re enjoying my mayhem vce journey… i’ll peak insanity eventually

I found out that stress rises around late-September, but you seem to have a level head. The only advice I can give is don't stress too much, and remember to allocate time for relaxation and leisure. Continue doing any hobbies, as long as it doesn't take too much time out from your studies. Sometimes, those mental breaks from exams can really help you from burning out

FinFin-3rdYearUni “you seem to have a level head” BHAHAHAHA I RLY APPRECIATE THAT but irl i’m really 🤪✨.
yeah this year i’ve really been valuing mental health breaks, reconnecting with nature etc etc because it gets my mind on track. i just need to fix my sleep schedule and i think ill survive october/november

            FH

moosy OMG DONT EVEN- the questions were so much more difficult compared to the previous years. how did you think you went?

                FH

I closed my eyes and put random ones for the first two, saw question 3 spent 50 minutes tyring to explain loyalty and jsut gave up and wrote like 50 words for like 4 more questions, im probably getting an E for this

moosy NO WHAT WAS WITH THE LOYALTY AND HONESTY QUESTION!? THAT WASNT LOYAL NOR HONEST OF VCAA

just did the monash open day in caulfield, and thank goodness i went because i found out the course i wanted to do would be a waste of time… so i only need to do a bachelor of arts and don’t have to double degree OR go to the clayton campus 😭😭.
it was so much fun- i got to try the radio station equipment and use the broadcasting studio + read a script, which was a blast (i was so nervous people were watching me). had dumplings, donuts and popcorn which is very unhealthy considering my skin is being a bitch and drying up significantly on me.
business and psych sac’s next week- locking in for realsies this time.

Sounds like a fun day! Will you be checking out any other universities for their open days, or just Monash? Best of luck in your SACs next week

FinFin-3rdYearUni i checked out rmit last year, which won’t really cater for my needs. my mum thinks i should check out unimelb because i need preferences and she wants me to make a solid decision, so i’ll probably head to that one in 2 weeks.
and thanks for the luck- currently studying for business which is tomorrow ahh

FH i went to uni melb for along with my sister who is also in yr 12, its a rlly cool campus lol this may not have helped but ig i can tell u its a pretty nice campus

MMHS haha thanks! i did a bunch of programs at unimelb for biology in years 10 and 11 when i did bio, and yes their campus in parkville is amazing. am yet to see their journalism facilities because the broadcasting rooms at monash were amazing, im pretty much sold 😭

FH oh wow nice! Are you planning to venture into media and reporting? I know the 9 news reporter Alisha Loxley went to our school lol. Media seems like a really cool career, wish u the best!

MMHS oh no what did your school do to get the news there… 😭
yes i’m very interested in journalism and the news in general! i’m aiming to become an investigative journalist, hopefully getting to report and unpack some crime cases because i’m a sucker for true crime stories.
