ronnie-k reyg21 btw i think everyone knows this but a question that they will 100% ask will be 'why jmss?' and prolly also 'what do you do relating to science) <--- this one might not be there but the first one will be
reyg21 ronnie-k yeah that makes sense but for some reason i dont remember it? i may js be blanking but i dont think they had it last year. good to have it prepped but its not 100% gonna be there
cleooo guys dyk about how many students they take from each school? or is it still just like selective, the 4% rule or something
reyg21 cleooo i remember researching it last year and i found they changed it so it isn't a percentage number anymore. idk what it is now
sweetpotatoes123 cleooo i think the board of edu sets a cap from each skl - not a % cap but rather a discrete cap. i think they take into consideration skl size/status (i.e independent/gov)/distance but don't quote me on that
cleooo reyg21 ohh ok maybe its based solely on who they think is suitable regardless of the schools idk
cleooo sweetpotatoes123 does the rank of ur school matter? like does good private school students get dis/advantages to really bad public school students? do they consider that or nah
KingYen cleooo Uhm, I would assume that a better school would be slightly disadvantageous because they would want to provide a spread of kids?
ronnie-k KingYen probably down because selective schools tend to take more from public schools and im assuming its the same for jmss
KingYen ronnie-k I didn't try out for Jmss....I'm just curious abt this stuff since I have some friends doing it
KingYen ronnie-k Nah, I wouldn't like a Science dominated background. It's good but I like an even spread
