how many in your cohort
Victorian Selective Entry Exam 2024 (Help)
20 kids is a lot, i only have 4
keep in mind the pd rule
there needs to be more than 500 kids in your yr 8 cohort to guarantee all kids in your school can get in if they all have good scores.

MMHS Around 60 students, so i'm assuming 6 max will get in (altho it could be 7 bc of equity and pd + they explicitly stated that they'll round the percentage of the number of offers given). If ur wondering how that many students will get in from my skl, it's a P-9 so the 10% acceptance rate kicks in instead of 4%.
MMHS Well, ig it's better than some of my other friends' skls, they have around 300-500 students participating in the sehs exam for yr 9 entry
Make sure that you don't get too overconfident (not in a mean way) about the high acceptance rate because ultimately you will need at least 3 superiors to get in.
MMHS Oh yes that's a rlly good way to think abt it...

Not necesscarily. So, according to the 4% rule, only 4% of students from one school can get accepted, meaning, if everyone got all superiors, they could only take 4% of them, thus ruling out the other kids. Do i have a higher chance of getting in, maybe, i don't know, but the thing is I still have to perform well to get in. Also, keep in mind, its not definite that getting 2-3 sups will get me in because it all depends on the cohort, because its the top 11% of kids get the superior meaning if the average for the math test for example is like 20/35 because it was hard, then if I get a 30, I will get that superior, same thing if the average is 4/35 for arguments sake. If everyone in my school gets superiors then everyone is almost guaranteed to get in bc there if 260 kids in my cohort meaning that around 10 kids could get in MAX.
