mizi i currently go to year 8 special classes @ NQT, but id argue just looking online for sample tests would be much helpful, just revise the year 8 math curriculum, expand ur vocab by reading and just finding websites that teach new vocab. As someone who did go to the same tuition for years, i think you should be slighty set, though i wouldnt depend on it & would try to study as much as possible, unless u already do well in school & r confident in performing above your cohort (if there are others trying out).

ALSO! i read ur only trying out for macrob, but id still recommend trying out for other schools like nossal, as you can always decline offers to other schools if u still don't want to go to them! :

      Tas I learned about this school a few months ago so it was quite late, so currently right now i'm using exam success for verbal, quantitative, reading and maths which has helped me and I also go tutoring (which I just started like 2 weeks ago) but tbh since theres only a few weeks left i've just been cramming everything at the moment and praying I get in macrob.

          tuliplover I’m also praying to get into macrob!! I would recommend de Rosa education tests( go on their website and u should find some tests to at least grasp some concepts hehe)

                    Since term 2 of 2023? I guess it's almost been a whole year of tutoring for me now.. 😭 lots of practice tests and self studying as well

                    Miio same i've been so nervous its crazy 😭 I also just realised my venue just said Melbourne and nothing else so I don't even know where my venue is 😭

                        Miio omg really thats like 45 mins away from my house 😭 but they said the venue would be near your school and my school is in dandy but I live in northern suburbs 😭

                                Miio that is so true the closest school near me was macrob 😭 and thank you, the traffic will probably be so bad but hopefully not 😭 (and once again good luck! I hope we both get in hehe)

                                    Hi guys, I've been using the Deroza tests for practise but found some of the questions too straightfoward and formulaic whereas in my tuition, the questions (especially maths) are very wordy and take time to understand. So i was wondering whether the deroza tests are similar to the actual exam or not?
