I learnt about the test in March this year, signed up just in time with macrob as my only preference. I haven't prepared much, but I have been going to NQT tutoring since grade 1. was wondering how long you guys have known and/or studied/had tutoring for the test.

    I found out about the SEHS exams in grade 7 so around 2 years ago and I went tutoring since prep. I took the test last year and tbh it wasn't that hard considering they changed it to ACER from EDUtest. I didn't get in but I'm taking it again for grade 10. Tutoring since grade 1 has given you an advantage but not enough to ensure that you've touch based everything you need to know.

          Ronaldo i only put macrob because i want to go to an all girls school, i've been in all girl classes since grade 3.

              Tas wait ive been going to NQT since year 1 too... LOL

                  mizi i currently go to year 8 special classes @ NQT, but id argue just looking online for sample tests would be much helpful, just revise the year 8 math curriculum, expand ur vocab by reading and just finding websites that teach new vocab. As someone who did go to the same tuition for years, i think you should be slighty set, though i wouldnt depend on it & would try to study as much as possible, unless u already do well in school & r confident in performing above your cohort (if there are others trying out).

                  ALSO! i read ur only trying out for macrob, but id still recommend trying out for other schools like nossal, as you can always decline offers to other schools if u still don't want to go to them! :

                      Tas I learned about this school a few months ago so it was quite late, so currently right now i'm using exam success for verbal, quantitative, reading and maths which has helped me and I also go tutoring (which I just started like 2 weeks ago) but tbh since theres only a few weeks left i've just been cramming everything at the moment and praying I get in macrob.

                          tuliplover I’m also praying to get into macrob!! I would recommend de Rosa education tests( go on their website and u should find some tests to at least grasp some concepts hehe)

                                    Since term 2 of 2023? I guess it's almost been a whole year of tutoring for me now.. 😭 lots of practice tests and self studying as well
