Hello everyone, I am looking for a tutor for my child who can help her prepare for the entry exam of JMSS next year.
Looking for JMSS entry tutor
it is very very late to look for a tutor. If the jmss test is on the 15th of June, in a week, there is no point of hiring a tutor for only 1 week. Sorry but it wasn't prudent to think of this so close to the test date
oh ok yeah that makes sense
so for maths james an is great but kinda expensive but for english hendersons is rly good but its mostly up to preference
IZM Hey! Feel free to join my jmss entry tutoring server https://discord.gg/PpN3ptEWWe
IZM I went to EduKingdom College tutoring Centre for their JMSS tutoring course. That place helped me a bunch with the science reasoning, numerical reasoning, and mathematics component of the test. But I will say it is to some degree expensive, like $750 for 10 sessions but if you take the 20 session pack you get a discount. You can get the rest of the details if you call EduKingdom.
Ronaldo As someone who went to JAC and got into JMSS, that tutoring was a absolute flop and I don't recommend it, apart from the teacher who was really nice, it didn't really help me at all. All the test's were completely over complicated and science reports were straight forward but you could easily find prompts with AI. I left all my studying last minute but as long as your doing well in school with Math and Science + some time management practise, skim over the Yr 9 & 10 curriculums and practise some report writing I don't believe you need a tutor.
Shiv yes it should be however its for year 8/9s i assume
I want to do JMSS, but I suck at science reasoning and I don't know how to improve, most of the questions aren't like you need a science background but instead it's literally just science reading comprehension, which I suck ass at. but I still wanna get in
first I need to ask a question, for the science reasoning test does it give all the information and you apply the info, or is it just questions that you need science knowledge for, like graph analysis or analysing experiments or food chains.
TL;DR
In short, is it similar to the ICAS Science tests, as they give all the information and you just apply the info.
