bobby40 hi guys im really confused how the test is running this year, verbal, numerical, reading, maths how many questions in how much time each? and for the writing pieces do we have both creative and analytical? and in how much time? cheers thanks guys
.. i_need_mental_asylum oh. Even SCHS has an oval, doesn't macrob have like 400 more students then us?
Chakraboi i_need_mental_asylum yeah but which girls are gon be playing sports (don't take it like that) they js gon talk and study
.. Dosanjh (NHS) not really. Cus there aren't many facilities there so most girls(I think so idk pls don't flame me this is just a theory) stay inside and talk or study. That's why Macrob is top 10 in school rankings as all the girls do mostly academics.
aš lowk is it worth it to try for the exam. im overseas and currently go to a great school with pretty good āsocial statusā and great friends so there arenāt any problems that are encouraging me to leave my current school. however, the final exam in hk (where i am now) for when ur in year 12 is extremely hard especially the chinese paperššš»so i guess i would prefer ib over hkdse. if i try out and get in macrob, iāll have to move to melb by myself and live with my parentās friends. iām also concerned that iāll be under average by a lot compared to the cohort if i get in and i wonāt find friends that get me like my friends now do, since macrob is very academic focused. so idk lol can yāall give ur opinion :3
MHS successful candidate aš if u think it is better for u, than js do the exam, i think it is worth trying though so definetly atleast try.
mhsbandar aš i think you should do it if its better for you academically and socially. and you shouldnt be worried about making new friends as a lot of the cohort share common interests and heritage. personally at the bare minimum i would try, it doesnt hurt
.. aš WAIT IS IT GAOKOA !!!!!! š¢ oh wait... sorry mb hong kong is a different country. BUT STILL THAT'S REALLY HARD. I mean currently your schooling life sounds great but in the end it might fall poorly(not saying you aren't smart enough its just the stress might get to you). coming to Australia might be a good choice but there are a lot of adjustments to make, its good tho that you already know where to live and speak fluent english. idk about the getting friends part, maybe ask @i_need_mental_asylum or @Sejal for advice? They both go macrob this year.
Alpšļø aš This is just my personal experience since I moved from the Indonesian to the Australian Curriculum in G4, I originally moved to Hurstville PS and I have to say that the culture and vibes from people here is wayyyy different from a typical school in indonesia. Usually kids in AU are more loud and extroverted so if you are a social person its much easier to find new friends š. I'm not sure if this applies to you too but the materials were much much easier in AU since I had learnt the same material from a year before so don't worry about not being able to catch up.
aš iāve been studying for the test already but thereās a lot going on at school and idk if i can balance it and my tests at school because i canāt just give up on them, i donāt have guaranteed entry or smth
MHS successful candidate aš do u have time to study at home?? if so how long?????? maybe spend like 2 hrs studying for school and then 2 hrs studying for school tests and vice versa.
aš MHS successful candidate not really tbh normal school day i get home at about 5 so thereās enough time for 4 hrs studying but i have 3 days when i get home at like 7:30 so thereās no timeš
MHS successful candidate aš oh, ur school seems to be pretty far. u have time to study at school??
