Hello asianasen !
It's hard to give advice specifically with the info given (not sure about your year level and your description of your abilities is a bit vague), so I'll just give some general advice about improving your inferring skills and info-finding.
With inferring, it's a really hard skill to pick up by yourself! My suggestion is read slowly, and after every sentence, think about what's NOT been said. So for example, if the sentence is about how xyz is true for a lot of people, what's NOT been said is that for some people, it's not true. Or if the sentence is about how a majority of people believe xyz, then what's NOT been said is that some people don't believe xyz.
In terms of picking up information as you're reading, practice summarising each paragraph, or grouping paragraphs together under a common idea. Say you're reading an article - you want to practice separating that article into individual ideas or arguments. This will help you exercise those skills where you have to gather lots of information and see the links (or differences) between everything.
I hope that's more helpful to you than the Emerald Education reply!

we started on yesterday (thurs 30/1) and yesterday we basically just had an assembly in the morning to tell us about what's going on etc, then we got settled into homegroups. homegroups is like smaller groups in your house, with a few year 9s,10s,11s and 12s in each homegroup. we got shown our lockers anyways after that we had recess. then we did a small activity - building a bridge that can support the most weight with only plastic straws. my team came like 2nd in our house lol (btw the school is very house-oriented; you don't really socialise much with the other houses unless its part of a house competition lol) after that was lunch, where we just roamed around. the school is BIG. i mean big. i literally thought we were in like a park when i went outside. thats how big it is. lol. then after we did a scavenger hunt where we had to complete like tasks. eg. take a selfie with the prof who the school was named after - you had to find a portrait of suzanne cory which was near the front office and take a selfie. then upload to a doc with a creative caption. after that, we had an ANOTHER assembly, where they just talked about a project called PRIMUS that we're gonna do next week (help its being assessed
)
anyhow, TODAY, we had sports day, so we went to the westgate sports centre where we were split into 4 teams within our house (mainly based on homegroup lol). we had 6 rotations of 8 possible activities - incl. basketball netball dodgeball futsal handball inflatables trampolines cricket. i got to do everything except dodgeball and basketball. it was mostly fun but the guys dominated the whole game lol so that was a bit sad. my favourite was the inflatables and trampolines lol anyways yeah. we had lunch breaks in between every 2 rotations and yeah. then we came back to school at like 3 and we had a short assembly just explaining the next few days.
so yeah. that's basically an overview of our first two days lol.
(sorry for the long essay haha)have any of u ever hada thought about recieving an offer and declining it by accident
3 sups, above and average. I severely failed that sehs test in my eyes. But luckily im better at school lol
