Plus, if you do not get in, it is not the end of the world, as long as you try your best. GOOD LUCK GUYS, and believe in yourself, because you are capable.

Skimm the reading passages, but read the poem properly, and also read the questions first, since some many not even need the passage to get the answer.

And for persuasive writing - what else can we use as evidence instead of statistics? Because it is better to be one the safe side and not make up any facts, who knows what the examinator will be like. I know that you can use anecdotes, but is there anything else?

when we arrive at our reporting times, are we allowed to bring some notes to revise then put them away before the exam?

    I am not sure...
Probably best to revise in the car? You can also bring you phones, just keep them away during the exam, so maybe you are also allowed to bring notes. Don't know for sure.

    oh okay thank you

I will be taking the entrance exam next year and I am very confused as to what to study, I have looked at the practice tests on the Victorian government website but have been told these are outdated. It would be very appreciated if someone could give me some relevant resources to study.

I will make sure to give some tips. Our exam is TOMORROW, so I can't give you it now. You have one year, so prepare well. You are lucky you are not sitting the exam tomorrow. I am so stressed 😔

Plus, it will be more accurate if I give you the tips AFTER the exam. You will benefit better that way 😊

NSN : my son will be with the test tomorrow as well, don’t be over stressed, stay focused remain calm and believe in yourself! Don’t go to bed too late , good luck 🍀!

Thank you so much! I have completed the exam, just relaxing right now. I found the Maths and Numerical tough, but the rest of the test went pretty well.

              numerical was definitely the hardest

NSN didn't they change numerical to quantitative?? Also what are the topics most covered in the math one, is there a lot of linear Algebra? Anyway I hope you get into the school you want.

Hi Everyone! Just wondering about the different session times. Do we all respond to the same prompt for the Creative/Persuasive Writing section? Assuming yes. Also, did people feel prepared for NR & Mathematics General Ability because I definitely feel like I was not? Thanks.

                    V!

For the Maths and Numerical they were mostly familiar topics, but solving them was quite tough. For the writing session, yes I think we all did respond to the same prompt.

Yes, you are correct. It is quantitative reasoning and it falls under the 'general ability' category.
In the maths paper, there was only about 1-2 questions on linear questions. Algebra was more common. There was also probability, fractions, interpreting graphs and geometry recalling from my memory.
Thanks, and I hope this was helpful to you 😁

Thanks, I'm just curious what you did to prepare for the exam, did you do James An or any course for the entrance exam??
