Hi guys.. 🫩

I'm currently in year 11 (class of 2026) and I'm feeling very worried about my subjects...

I know I shouldn't think much about scaling and just do what I'm good at and try my best but I've realised that my subject arabic continuers needs to be done really well for it to benefit me and I'm already struggling so much with spelling its insane... Its so time consuming to try improving and I feel like im not getting good enough with the spelling and obviously its a very important part of the subject so with bad spelling I cant do that well..

So I was considering taking on Extension 2 English next term so I could possibly drop arabic continuers because I really dont want to be stuck with only 10 units... but then I'm also worried because while I am doing pretty well in ADV course and I really enjoy the Extension 1 content but kind of messed up the Term 1 extension assessment and because I was going to drop it after that I did my Term 2 assessment very last minute (the night before) and very terrible quality but I still got a B+....

Here are my subjects and how I'm doing in them for reference :
(note I haven't got ranks for most of the subjects bc my school doesn't give them out and I will give actual marks where I can because they usually only give grades up until year 12)

Arabic continuers, T1 90%, T2 82% (Rank 11/77)
English Advanced, T1 A, T2 A
English Extension 1, T1 C+, T2 B+
Modern History, T1 A+, T2 N/A
Society and Culture, T1 A, T2 A+ (96%)
Biology T1 85%, T2 75%
Math Standard T1 80%, T2 88%

I do want to mention that I do like English and I genuinely enjoy the content I have been doing in both Adv and E1. I have also had previous experience with major projects where I had practically full freedom to create anything over an extended period of time. I really enjoyed being able to manage myself and find my own research for my topic of interest and I did do quite well in them. That said they were at a quite smaller scale than what E2 would be....

I am also considering history extension if I end up being eligible so I might have to choose between that and E2 English unless I drop arabic continuers... I'm just really scared of overestimating myself into taking on too much and then being stuck and miserable... and then underestimating myself and holding myself back...
